Webinar 12/17 - all are wecome to attend virtually or face to face!

poster by armondo collins, dmc

As the end of the semester starts to unwind, I hope you all - wherever you may be - will consider joining in this webinar on Tuesday Dec 17 at 9am.  As many of you know I often host international virtual only student interns. I am "hosting" Sara Valla this past month  who is creating an OER/MOOC guide for us as she wraps up her Digital Libraries Learning masters. She has an extensive background in online learning before she got into libraries. She also would really like to connect with more people besides me and I thought a webinar might be good to share her ideas & tips, time for you all to ask questions, and that is might possibly lead to connections for her!

WebinarOnline Learning Myths & Engaging Distance Learners!

WHO:
Presented by Sara Valla, a Digital Libraries Learning Masters student completing her virtual internship with UNCG Libraries; and currently an Instructional Design & e-learning Consultant at Universita delgi Studio di Parma UniPR co-Lab (Learn More about Sara!)

WHEN:

OR come to Library Room 216

Cookies with your coffee?

Please note that the video announcement screen, in the info commons outside of the CITI lab is scrolling through a variety of holiday greetings in different languages.  This is the backdrop for providing some holiday cookies for the late night students to go with their coffee tonight, sponsored by the University Libraries Diversity Committee.  Thanks to Armondo for his work making our greetings work and if you want a cookie, come back later tonight :-)

SACS documents

The Libraries standards are 2.9, 3.8.1, 3.8.2,3.8.3 if you want to just  look through those:

The Office of Assessment and Accreditation has made UNCG's Compliance Certification report available on its web pages.  This report was sent to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) as evidence of the University's compliance with the standards of the Principles of Accreditation, a process that occurs every ten years.  The full text of the report can be found at http://assessment.uncg.edu/sacs/ccr2.html.
